Air Compliance Program Support – Offutt Air Force Base, NE
Performed air emissions inventories (AEI) and annual/semiannual compliance reporting and developed the renewal application for the installation’s Nebraska Class II Air Operating Permit. KGS/Trinity staff worked with Offutt Environmental Program Managers to gather operating material usage and fuel usage data from the various installation organizations to calculate estimated air emissions for multiple criteria and hazardous air pollutants in accordance with Air Force, state, and federal regulations.
Radon Diagnostics at NUWC, Newport, RI
Completed a radon mitigation project for the Navy Radon Assessment and Mitigation Program (NAVRAMP) at twelve buildings in Naval Station Newport, RI, and one building in Seneca Lake, NY. The work included project planning, initial radon assessment, design and installation of radon mitigation systems (31 SSDs and 3 SAMs), as well as repairs and upgrades to existing systems. Post-mitigation radon testing confirmed successful reduction of radon levels below 4 pCi/L. A completion report documented the project’s results.
High Resolution Site Characterization (HRSC) Study for Air Force Plant 6/Dobbins Air Reserve Base, GA and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL
Applied HRSC technologies to conduct 3-D Geologic Modeling and refine the conceptual site model to estimate the amount of recoverable Dense Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (DNAPL), identify bedrock preferential flow paths, and evaluate remediation system effectiveness. The results of the HRSC study helped the Air Force determine the most cost-effective investigation methods for future site characterization and remediation.
Multimedia Environmental Compliance – Fort Novosel, AL
At Fort Novosel, we support a wide variety of environmental compliance tasks: Clean Air Act (CAA) Title V permit and air emissions inventory support; greenhouse gas inventory investigation and reporting, recycling & solid waste management; hazardous waste characterization and management; compliance training and audits; and environmental training courses for Government and tenant personnel.
